What Happens at Grandma's Stays at Grandma's

It's going to be cool being a grandparent. I can't wait to read Green Eggs and Ham or Hand Hand Fingers Thumb to my grandson a hundred times and then be excited to read it aloud just once more. All those grandparents before us have set the bar very high for how to spoil your children's children. Just like uncle Ben said to Spiderman, "...with great power comes great responsibility." I personally have my own top 10 list:

1. Buy them the things that I could not afford for my own children
2. Shower my time on them that I used to devote to my job
3. Practice the Platinum Rule - Treat them the way they want to be treated - Find out what they want and give it to them
4. Chocolate and Peanut Butter are at the very foundation of the food pyramid
5. Leave Preaching to the pastor
6. Daily bathing is no longer required due to the water shortage
7. Life comes at you hard so bedtime is whenever you go to sleep
8. Listen, so they will talk
9. Take time outs together in fun exciting places
10. Don't schedule quality time....just let it happen
