I Enjoy Going To Vote

Ken and I went to the local library last Friday to participate in early primary voting. What a wonderful thing to be able to vote early....no lines, no 6:30 a.m. at the polls, no pollsters outside the door.....Many people take voting for granted and there are as many excuses for not voting as there are stars in the sky. When I think about the governments in a lot of countries I feel especially grateful to have been born in America. Even with all of the issues facing us today we are blessed to have so much for which to be thankful. Even though I do vote, I am also embarrassed that when I go to the polls it never fails that there are positions on the ballot that I have no clue who any of the candidates are. I know that I could easily become more educated on the candidates if I just gave it a little effort. Something to work on for the upcoming election year!
