From the highest of highs to the depths of concern. That was the ride for the last few days. Life's challenges give you the chance to evaluate character. Not only your own but that of those close to you. I must say I have never been so proud of my family. Kelly and Kris have shown their love for each other and love for the child they have waited on so patiently. Each has been strong when necessary and leaned on the other when not. Watching the two of them together through this "rough start" as the pediatrician calls it has been heart warming. Matt and Kelly Grace were right there as well showing how much they care and pulling for their nephew to clear those tiny lungs. Leaving Jonah in the hospital will be one of the hardest things that Kelly and Kris ever do and Ken and I are looking forward to the time when this is a distant memory that we are sharing with our grandson when he is old enough to understand his "rollercoaster" ride into our lives at 6:22 a.m. on May 14, 2008.
