Mothers Day is For Remembering
The thing I remember most about my mother was that when I was sick as a child she would sit beside me and hold my hand. Every time I look at my hands today I remember my mother....since my hands look just like hers did. There is something very comforting about a mothers hands. They seem to have special powers. I am sure that my children recall the " momometer". I could always tell within a degree or two what their temperature was just by placing my hand on their forehead. We would occasionally test the accuracy of the "momometer" by validating it with a regular thermometer and lo and behold the "momometer" was very reliable. My mother died when I was 28 and that has been 28 years ago in November. No matter how long it has been, the feel of her warm hand holding mine will always be etched in my memory.

Love, Your Daughter
ok, i just talked to kelly on the phone (you guys were just in the other room, i'm sure) and now i'm catching up on reading blogs. yours was so precious - i had no idea that your mom died when you were so young. but it is amazing the love you can recall, without fail, of your mom's touch. i think that recollection must be heaven sent. i'm so excited for kelly to have her little boy - and so excited for you and mr. grace to be grandparents. oooh life is just going to get sweeter. happy mom's day, ashley (fagundus)
