So Long Old Friend

May sound crazy....but I just have to blog about my 9 year old fully loaded.... i.e. (every option known to man)......2000 Chrysler 300M that I just traded in. The car was my favorite of all time and the first really nice new car that I had ever purchased. I originally leased the car in 2000 and liked it so well that I bought it when the lease expired....not a smart financial move but I did it none the less...I loved this car.

It was the kind of car in 2000 that when you arrived at your destination and began to walk away that you had to turn back a couple of times just to look and admire and be glad that it was yours. Now, I am not a very materialistic person...as you can see by the fact that this is a CHRYSLER....not talking BMW, LEXUS, MERCEDES here...you get the picture. I have fought my husband and children...continuing to say that I don't need a new car....but finally I broke.

May have been the lighter socket no longer working to charge my cell phone ....might have been the increasing road noise heard inside the car, might have been the headlights that were fogged to the point you could not see at night.... could have been the great deals now and low financing......BUT IT WASN'T that it was any less fun to drive or that it still didn't turn heads.....

This car served me well over eight years....never left me stranded....never was unreliable....I loved this car and I will miss the comfortable feel it had....just like being with an old friend.
