FAMILY TIME

It was a whirlwind of family events this past weekend. It started with a trip to Pinehurst, NC to celebrate my niece Dana's birthday. The boys played Golf on Pinehurst #1 which is the first course designed by Donald Ross in the area. The girls toured the SPA at Pinehurst, shopped in the village and had lunch before meeting the boys at the Carolina Inn dining room for a real feast. Note the picture of my brother Ron dancing with one of the servers. A grand time was had by all. We were lucky to have Sally Stewart to show us around and open her home to us during our visit.

We arrived home around 11:00 p.m. and Ken's sister Sharon and husband John had arrived from Nashville, TN for a visit. It was great to see them and we took a road trip to visit Kelly and Kris on Sunday. Luckily Kelly Grace had been to the Rascal Flats concert in Raleigh the night before and she and Matt met us there as well. So John and Sharon got to see the entire family on their visit and meet their new nephew as well. We grilled hot dogs and hamburgers and did the usual family thing...sat around and told stories, laughed and caught up on family events.

Then on Tuesday night Ken cooked a big spaghetti dinner for Dana, Danny, Ron, Janet, John and me. It was wonderful. John and Sharon left to return to Nashville on Wednesday morning and we are now going through FAMILY WITHDRAWL.........
