Fun in the Park!

I spent many a summer day at City Lake Park when I was growing up in High Point, NC. It was fun to take Kelly and Jonah there on a visit this weekend. There are lots of new things since I was there in the 1960's. A neat train winds its way through the park and there is an old fashioned carousel ride complete with brightly painted horses and benches. They also sport a miniature golf course! Did I mention the huge pool with two water slides and a kids play area that goes on forever. We had a great visit and it was fun to watch Jonah enjoy the park just as I used to.

When we got home from the park we went to dinner with Uncle Ronnie and Aunt Janet for some really great Mexican food at Pancho Villas. On Sunday we filled the wash tub with water outside and played all afternoon....What a great weekend!
