THE Shark

There are a couple of things that I remembered this week that made me smile. Ken and I were talking about the nicknames that we have for Matt...we call him Few, Few B, Mattie B, Scooby and the Shark. His Dad called him the shark for a good reason. Matt will eat anything...and plenty of it. Some of our favorite stories about Matt revolve around what he would consider a snack. Matt would come home from school and open a can of cream of chicken soup and eat it with a spoon out of the can.....no water...no heat...cold condensed cream of chicken soup straight from the can. As if that were not odd enough he would also drink the pickle juice from the pickle jar and one of his favorite things was boiled green peanuts in a can... Now most people drain the peanuts and toss the water....not Matt he ate the peanuts and drank the salty brine from the can as well.

When Kelly and Matt were old enough I said...no more...I am no longer making lunches. If you want to take your lunch you will have to make it yourself...That was no problem for Kelly but Matt was a different story...I still don't know if he did this on purpose to con his sister into making his lunch...but Matt would take a paper bag and pour potato chips directly into the bottom of the bag...then make a sandwich and place it in the bottom of the bag as well...and throw in a couple of Oreo's for the sweet tooth....no sandwich bags or plastic wrap...just loose potato chips ,sandwich and cookies with no covering in the bottom of the bag...Kelly watched in horror and couldn't stand it...she quickly took over that responsibility.

Each to his own....
